Crafting smiles, one bite at a time
What Is The Smoking Pastor Project?
At The Smoking Pastor Project, we believe a good meal does more than fill a stomach — it feeds the soul.
What began as a simple mission to serve BBQ and bless our community has grown into a movement of compassion, connection, and craft. We show up with no strings attached, feeding people for free at pop-up events, disaster relief sites, and local outreach efforts. Every plate is a reminder that someone cares.

OUR MISSION
At The Smoking Pastor Project, our mission is to bring dignity, nourishment, and hope to communities by providing high-quality, fully cooked, prepackaged protein to food pantries and outreach partners. We believe real meals create real impact, and we’re committed to crafting smiles one bite at a time.
WHO WE ARE
The Smoking Pastor Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit partnering with food pantries, nonprofits, and community organizations to ensure families have access to ready-to-heat, fully cooked meals. What began with serving free BBQ at pop-up events and disaster sites has grown into a mission-driven effort to make real, flavorful protein available to anyone facing food insecurity.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is simple and bold:
To be the largest producer of fully cooked, prepackaged protein for food pantries.
Food banks and nonprofits rarely receive ready-to-eat protein, yet it’s the most requested and most expensive item families need. We’re working to solve that problem by providing high-quality, ready-to-heat meats like:
-
Smoked pulled pork
-
Shredded chicken
-
Hearty brisket
-
And other fully cooked, flavorful proteins
These meals help food pantries go beyond canned goods and dry staples—offering real food that brings dignity, nourishment, and comfort to the dinner table. This matters for everyone: seniors, families, single parents, and yes, kids who benefit from consistent access to real protein.
With every meal we prepare, we’re crafting smiles one bite at a time.

Meet Jordan and Kati Davis—the hearts, hands, and vision behind The Smoking Pastor Project. Their shared love for faith, food, and community has grown into a mission dedicated to feeding people well and bringing dignity to the dinner table.
For Jordan, barbecue has always been more than a hobby. It’s a craft, a calling, and a way to bring people together. The smoke, the fire, the laughter—these moments have shaped his belief that a shared meal can change someone’s day, or even their life. As a pastor and pitmaster, he pours that passion into every meal the project provides.
Kati, also a pastor, brings strong leadership, organization, and a deep commitment to making people feel seen and valued. She helps guide the mission forward with clarity and compassion, ensuring every detail—from partnerships to logistics—serves the heart behind the project. Her ability to create welcoming spaces and build meaningful connections helps turn meals into moments of encouragement and hope.
Together, Jordan and Kati turned a free food truck and a heart for service into a growing effort to fight food insecurity through high-quality, fully cooked, prepackaged protein. Their goal is simple: make real meals accessible to real families, especially those who rely on food pantries.
Every pouch we seal, every meal we prepare, and every person we serve is a reflection of their belief that food can nourish both the body and the soul. And through their commitment, they strive to make everyone feel like part of the family.
